Black Widow Shells Review

"Black Widow" is a 24 piece shell kit available for the consumer market. It contains 24 canister shells and four launching tubes. Below is my personal opinion on the performance of the Black Widow shells.

Size: These shells are huge. They are a full five inch, sixty gram shell. This means that it is packed with the maximum amount of powder composition as allowed by federal law (60 grams). 

Sound: The Black Widow shells pack a punch. When launched out of the tube, you will feel it in your chest. Then, the shell breaks with one of the loudest bangs on the market. You can't beat the sound of a Black Widow shell unless you upgrade to professional grade (1.3g) fireworks. 

Break Size: The size of the break is how wide of a span the color and effect take up in the sky once the shell explodes. These shells have one of the largest break sizes out there. They take up a very wide amount of the sky with their bright colors and effects.

Color & Effect: If you are looking for shells with the best color, Black Widows are up near the top. They contain bright colors that will light up the sky. They aren't the best colorful shells available, but they are still fantastic. Regarding their effects, these shells have a wide variety. Ranging from brocade crown to amazing crackle effects, these are some of the best shells you can get if you are looking for a wide array of effects.

Overall: I give the Black Widows a rating of 9.5/10. These are my favorite shells on the consumer market. They have amazing size, sound, and color. Many consumer shells come close, but cannot beat the Black Widows. I would even argue the Black Widows perform just as well as some of the smaller professional grade shells. I highly recommend you pick up some Black Widow shells if you are looking to shoot some great artillery shells. You can expect their price to be anywhere from $70-$110.
